What is Covered?
Vela & Lux ("we," "us," or "our") warrants that our lighting products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal, indoor residential use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of the original retail purchase.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase (such as your original order confirmation or receipt) is required for all warranty claims.
What is NOT Covered?
Because our fixtures are designed specifically for indoor ambient and accent lighting, this warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper use. Specifically, this warranty does not cover:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Natural aging of finishes, minor scratches, or standard degradation over time.
- Improper Installation or Maintenance: Damage caused by incorrect installation, improper wiring, or failure to follow the provided assembly instructions.
- Environmental Damage: Damage resulting from installing indoor-only fixtures in outdoor spaces, or in environments with excessive moisture or extreme temperatures (unless the product is specifically rated for damp/wet locations).
- Misuse & Abuse: Damage caused by dropping the fixture, physical impact, neglect, or vandalism.
- Electrical Issues: Damage caused by power surges, short circuits, or the use of incorrect bulbs or power adapters (e.g., using a bulb with a higher wattage than recommended).
- Modifications: Any product that has been altered, modified, or repaired by unauthorized third parties.
- Acts of God: Damage caused by natural disasters such as lightning, floods, earthquakes, or fires.
Please note: Consumable parts, such as light bulbs (unless integrated into the LED fixture), are not covered under this warranty.
What We Will Do
If a valid claim is received within the 1-year warranty period, Vela & Lux will, at our sole discretion, choose one of the following remedies:

Replace the defective product (or the defective component) with a new or refurbished part of equal value.

Refund the original purchase price (or provide store credit) if a replacement product is no longer available or discontinued.
Vela & Lux is not responsible for any labor costs associated with removing a defective fixture or installing a replacement.
How to File a Claim
If you believe your product is defective and falls under this warranty, we are here to help make it right. Please follow these steps:

Gather your information: You will need your original order number and a brief description of the issue.

Take photos/videos: Snap a few clear photos or a short video demonstrating the defect. This helps our team process your claim much faster.

Contact us: Email our support team at info@velaandlux.com with your order number, description, and attachments.
Our customer support team will review your claim and respond within 1-2 business days with the next steps.
Conditions That Void This Warranty
This limited warranty will immediately be considered null and void under the following circumstances:
- Unauthorized Repairs & Alterations: You have made any modifications or additions to the light fixture. (Note: Hardwiring must be done by a licensed electrician, DIY hardwiring that results in damage will void the warranty).
- Improper Power Supply & Dimming: The fixture is connected to an incorrect voltage, an incompatible dimmer switch, or a third-party power adapter/transformer not approved by Vela & Lux.
- Transfer of Ownership: The product is sold, gifted, or otherwise transferred to another party. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser.
- Missing Proof of Purchase: The claimant is unable to provide a valid order number, receipt, or proof of purchase directly from Vela & Lux or an authorized dealer.
